Hector & Ruth Aragon, Guatemala
Reaching, caring, and training empowering national youth and children to multiply their impact through full-time education: In 14 schools with 492 sponsored children and youth each school is the evangelistic and training outstretched arm of the local church, providing education from the elementary level up to technical studies teaching and preaching in churches and gatherings of pastors and evangelists. Hector and Ruth are both of Spanish descent and have been in Guatemala since January 1997.
Kathy Mizen, Honduras
Director of Schools of Hope, in Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras
Our #1 priority is reaching the children in the public schools with the Gospel and partnering with their communities and local churches. We partner with ERDO to operate a nutrition program for more than 800 preschool and kindergarten children oversee sponsorship for 320 children: Empowering them to receive an education and achieve their dreams help families in greatest need through a community development project, installing bio-sand water filters in homes for fresh water, and also run a tutoring program for students who need extra support with homework.
Matthew & Amber Price (Daxon, Zala, Wren, Izelle), Thailand
We believe God elevates and alleviates; He builds us up and heals hurts. Amber is the Director of Impact School of Missions (ISM), Southeast Asia – working to equip and deploy young adults across the region Matthew is the national director for ChildCARE Plus (CCP) Thailand. Through education, we are seeing long-acting changes created in children and families. We have a belief in the sanctity and power of marginalized communities and Bangkok is a tapestry of unheard stories. Urban refugees, migrants, and women in red light districts are increasingly part of our community here. Together with our children, we love Thailand. The Prices have worked in Bangkok since 2016.
Cecelia & Felix Chiriseri (Hannah), South Africa
Our dream is to see communities, all throughout South Africa, transformed into lighthouses—beacons of hope in their country. We want these communities to become empowered through the integration of discipleship and development where many come to faith in Christ and where poverty is alleviated. Our goal is to build trust with community leaders, including local pastors, to help them address their community issues, especially poverty. We equip communities to start thinking of development rather than relief. We utilize Community Health Evangelism training together with business training initiatives such as Farming God’s Way, in order to empower the residents with skills to lift themselves out of poverty.
Change Conference
At Change Conference we believe that transformed youth have the opportunity to transform communities, our country, and the world. We engage and equip youth to know and follow Jesus. Change Conference is a ministry of Youth for Christ, which has been ministering to youth and young adults for over 75 years. We exist to see every youth in Canada hear, respond to, and live out the message of Jesus in their lives.
We:
- Assist discipleship through a carefully designed follow up process which connects students to youth leaders and local churches.
- Reach as many students as possible.
- Educate and encourage young people to be bold in their faith.
- Serve the church by providing youth and youth leaders with a high quality, Gospel-driven event.
- Seek to be a unifying event, bringing the Church of Canada together.
Pastor Carlo & Maddy Rosati, Bethel – St Marys
In September 2023, Bethel Church of Stratford planted a new church in St Marys, Ontario. St. Marys is home to over 7,000 people, with only a few historic mainline and other church expressions. There is a growing need for a new evangelical church that will bring a modern expression with the timeless truth of the Gospel to reach people for God's Kingdom. Our mission is to be 'A bridge to Life with Jesus' where people of all generations will be equipped to live a life of purpose, passion, and power by the Holy Spirit.
